Saint Petersburg State Medical University was founded on 1897. It was the first institution in Russia and in Europe that allowed women to obtain a higher medical education. The Academy has become one of the leading medical centers in the country. In 2010, the 175th anniversary of the establishment of the polyclinic passed.

More than 35,000 doctors have graduated from the academy. Since the international program began in 1947, there have been more than 5,000 international graduates from more than 50 countries. Currently, the total number of students is more than 6,000. St. Petersburg Medical University faculties are based on the state educational standards developed by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

  • Dormitories can accommodate 2 or 3 students in each room.
