One of Siberia's well-known medical university is Omsk State Medical University. It is situated in Omsk, a significant Russian city in southwest Siberia. For international students, the university offers clinical training, medical education, research opportunities, and support services.

Indian students who wish to study medicine abroad and are ready to handle the academic, climatic, cultural, and legal requirements of studying in Russia may give OSMU some thought.

The administrative hub of Omsk Oblast, Omsk is located in the southern region of the West Siberian Plain at the confluence of the smaller Om River and the larger Irtysh River, a major tributary of the Ob and an important inland waterway that has historically made Omsk a major river port. The city is located approximately 150 kilometers north of the Kazakhstan border and 2,555 kilometers east of Moscow, firmly in the southwestern Siberian heartland rather than the more isolated, frigid regions of central or eastern Siberia that many people associate with the word "Siberia."
